In the 2018 Annual Wage Review, the Fair Work Commission increased the minimum wage by 3.5%.
It may take the Commission 2-3 weeks to update the pay rates for each award. However, once the new rates are available, you will need to act fast because they apply from the first full pay period beginning on or after 1 July 2018.
The 3.5% wage increase applies to any employee who is paid:
- The minimum wage OR
- According to a modern award OR
- In some cases, staff who have a registered agreement
